LinguaSearch was created out of a simple belief: that building vocabulary in a new language should feel satisfying and natural, not like a chore. Word search puzzles are a uniquely effective learning tool because finding a word requires active engagement — you have to look for it, recognise it, and see it in context — in a way that simply reading a list never achieves.
Every LinguaSearch book is designed around topics that reflect real life in the language's country and culture. The puzzles are accompanied by cultural and linguistic facts that bring the language to life beyond the vocabulary itself.
The LinguaSearch Learn French series currently comprises three levels — Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced — covering 153 themed puzzles and over 2,500 French words. Each level builds on the last, taking learners from their first French words all the way to the specialist vocabulary of French professional and cultural life.
More languages are in development. Spanish, German and Italian are planned next, each following the same three-level structure.
This website offers free word search puzzles drawn from the same word lists as the books, playable online or downloadable as PDFs. A new puzzle is available every day. We believe that learning resources should be accessible to everyone, and that free puzzles are the best possible introduction to what LinguaSearch has to offer.
